After 38 played minutes, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's Sean Botham shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Malcolm Hudson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sutton in Ashfield AFC reached it. 39 minutes into the match, Thornham's goal looked a bit too open when Ronan Bennett came free, but Malcolm Hudson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bart Helks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vince Digby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Hampton in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Helks in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Digby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Helks came free, but Vince Digby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sutton in Ashfield AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
