Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Denny Cox made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Deon Linkletter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vince Digby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Cox in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Conisbrough's Olly Lyons got a free kick in the 7th minute. Deon Linkletter's late challenge caught a Conisbrough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deon Linkletter helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's Deon Linkletter got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's goalkeeper Vince Digby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joey Broadhurst. Jez Glanvill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Conisbrough's Sly Nethercot got a free kick in the 25th minute. Brett Darling came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton in Ashfield AFC's Allan Strong. But to his dismay, Allan Strong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Conisbrough's Joey Broadhurst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vince Digby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matt Castleton hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sly Nethercot kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Jez Glanvill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Jez Glanvill had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brett Darling. Conisbrough's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jez Glanvill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Jez Glanvill made the kick off in the second half. Brett Darling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jez Glanvill, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Sutton in Ashfield AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ronan Bennett. If Allan Strong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Glanvill in the 59th minute of play forced Conisbrough's goalkeeper Brett Darling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brett Darling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Strong in the 67th minute. When Ronan Bennett was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. A collision led to Sutton in Ashfield AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ronan Bennett hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, Sutton in Ashfield AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Linkletter to maneuver through the defense. Brett Darling was a little too slow when Deon Linkletter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-3. Vince Digby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Broadhurst in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Fraser Winfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sutton in Ashfield AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Conisbrough the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's Fraser Winfield got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Sutton in Ashfield AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Allan Strong hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Joey Broadhurst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
