Spectators: 7659 (Terracing: 5746, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leo Gamble started the match with the kick off. Louis Jordoan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasey Sparkes in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Jonathon Rawlings had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Darren Ainsworth charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darren Ainsworth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Darren Ainsworth kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Thurlaston's Louis Jordoan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Gamble in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Not Entirely Crap getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Laurence Acton hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Doug Charlton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but James Daly showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Lance Hayes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Not Entirely Crap defense, Tosh Osbourn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of James Daly. The Not Entirely Crap fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that James Daly should have stopped the shot. Tosh Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Verne Lemerond during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Not Entirely Crap got a freekick which was hit by Verne Lemerond. Kasey Sparkes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Louis Jordoan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Stan Wells hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Leo Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Not Entirely Crap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Gamble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. James Daly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosh Osbourn in the 42nd minute of the match. If Tosh Osbourn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurence Acton hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Not Entirely Crap's goal looked a bit too open when Tosh Osbourn came free, but James Daly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Tosh Osbourn made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Hayes in the 53rd minute of play forced Not Entirely Crap's goalkeeper James Daly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Gamble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louis Jordoan having to interfere. Louis Jordoan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Gamble, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lance Hayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. James Daly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Thurlaston getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Harvey Reeves hit a great ball. Laurence Acton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Louis Jordoan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Ainsworth hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. James Daly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teddy Coleman's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Leo Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Not Entirely Crap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Gamble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Leo Gamble came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Not Entirely Crap fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Gamble couldn't finish the play. Kasey Sparkes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Not Entirely Crap's James Daly got control of the ball when Lance Hayes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Lance Hayes made a precise shot to the right of James Daly. Not Entirely Crap's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Laurence Acton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Thurlaston eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
