Joseph Currie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Rick Ashton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woking FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rick Ashton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al McCartney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Ian McCormick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ian McCormick hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Rick Ashton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woking FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rick Ashton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes, Woking FC's Mickey Groom shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Al McCartney came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Woking FC reached it. 32 minutes into the match, Rick Ashton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Al McCartney, 1-0. 36 minutes into the game, Joseph Currie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marek Stansfield was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Al McCartney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rick Ashton in the 43rd minute of the match. Marek Stansfield came out of the goal in the 49th minute to try and stop a shot by Fordingbridge FC's Lawrence Parkin. But to his dismay, Lawrence Parkin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

The wind increased when Rick Ashton made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 61 minutes, Ian McCormick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woking FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian McCormick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Fordingbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian McCormick came free, but Al McCartney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian McCormick might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Al McCartney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian McCormick ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the game, Ian McCormick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Al McCartney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lawrence Parkin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Stansfield having to make a save. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Woking FC's goalkeeper Marek Stansfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rick Ashton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al McCartney having to interfere. When Rick Ashton came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Woking FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rick Ashton couldn't finish the play. Fordingbridge FC's Al McCartney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Ashton in the 84th minute of play. Rick Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian McCormick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al McCartney having to interfere. In the 93rdth minute of the game Rick Ashton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fordingbridge FC's Al McCartney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brett Middlewood's late challenge caught a Fordingbridge FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brett Middlewood helped the player get up and apologised. After 98 played minutes Woking FC got a freekick which was hit by Brett Middlewood. After taking down the ball on Fordingbridge FC's corner Sebastian Sharp fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marek Stansfield quite easily take care of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
