Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wes Wills got the match started through his kick off. When Ty Ellerby came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Saltaire United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ty Ellerby couldn't finish the play. Harvey Boland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Pierre Clement fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jonny Byfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Farmer having to interfere. Halesowen FC's Gav Blakewell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Halesowen FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Halesowen FC's zone, Pierre Clement stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gav Blakewell came out of the goal and Pierre Clement tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gav Blakewell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Harvey Boland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltaire United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey Boland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Halesowen FC's Mark Tonkin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Jonny Byfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierre Clement stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Halesowen FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Poate. In the 52nd minute, Harvey Boland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonny Byfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lewis Farmer was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Wes Wills capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wes Wills really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Wes Wills's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lewis Farmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Lewis Farmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wes Wills in the 64th minute of the match. Jonny Byfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lewis Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Harvey Boland notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Halesowen FC's Gav Blakewell. Gav Blakewell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Jonny Byfield got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonny Byfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jonny Byfield came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Halesowen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Byfield couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Halesowen FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
