Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tyrone Simpson got the match started through his kick off. When Sidney Lampard fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crowngate's protests and gave Sidney Lampard a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Crowngate getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sidney Lampard hit a great ball. Tyrone Simpson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Simeon Askew came out and tried to block the shot, but Tyrone Simpson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Ossett United's Tyrone Simpson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ossett United's Lewis Bartram got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Tyrone Simpson put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Simeon Askew. Lewis Bartram recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Crowngate's goalkeeper Simeon Askew had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tyrone Simpson. Crowngate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Lewis Bartram scored to the left of an out of position Simeon Askew, making the score, 5-0. Tyrone Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Crowngate's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Bartram came free, but Simeon Askew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Sawyer made a kick off. Ed Deeney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th match minute, Crowngate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denzil Greenman to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 57 minutes, Ed Deeney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ossett United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ed Deeney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ed Deeney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Simeon Askew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Simpson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simeon Askew having to make a save. Simeon Askew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyrone Simpson in the 67th minute of play. Lewis Bartram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ed Deeney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Simpson in the 76th minute of play forced Crowngate's goalkeeper Simeon Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lewis Bartram's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simeon Askew read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Simeon Askew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrone Simpson in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, Ossett United's Lewis Bartram made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simeon Askew was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ossett United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
