After having played for 11 minutes, Nick Alcock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Par City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Alcock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julian Dry charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Dry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Crowngate getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. After 12 played minutes Par City's Nick Alcock stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Simeon Askew stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Crowngate of the goal. Simeon Askew dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Nick Alcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Simeon Askew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sacha Le Saux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nick Alcock in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simeon Askew saved Crowngate from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Mick Ashton notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Crowngate's Simeon Askew. Simeon Askew was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
