With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shawn Sutton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shawn Sutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rowett in the 5th minute of play. When Cheekychaps FC's David Rowett in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taverham FC's goalie prevented a goal. David Rowett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Sutton having to interfere. A collision led to Cheekychaps FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Niall Corby hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Taverham FC's Will Picker tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Mulligan came free, but Shawn Sutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Niall Corby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheekychaps FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Victor Mulligan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawn Sutton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Rowett's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Cheekychaps FC's Victor Mulligan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shawn Sutton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd match minute, Cheekychaps FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Hampton to maneuver through the defense. Will Picker, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Mulligan came free, but Shawn Sutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Austen Walker was the one to do the kick off. Shawn Sutton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Rowett's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Taverham FC's Shawn Sutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Mulligan in the 56th minute of play. Victor Mulligan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Taverham FC's Ozzy Bateson got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Taverham FC's goalkeeper Shawn Sutton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Shawn Sutton was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and David Rowett capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Rowett really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. If Victor Mulligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-4 when David Rowett sped through Taverham FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Shawn Sutton. A hard shot 84 in the game by David Rowett from a close distance when the talented Shawn Sutton managed to make a qualified save. Taverham FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Mulligan in the 85th minute of play forced Taverham FC's goalkeeper Shawn Sutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Cheekychaps FC's goal looked a bit too open when Austen Walker came free, but Ronnie Rusk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Rowett came free, but Shawn Sutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Rowett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Shawn Sutton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Ken Hodgson fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taverham FC's protests and gave Ken Hodgson a yellow card for diving instead. After 97 played minutes Taverham FC got a freekick which was hit by Ken Hodgson. Cheekychaps FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
