Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denis Stockton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rupert Mortimer was a little too slow when Thomas Oatway got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Austin Cooke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Cerebrus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Clapham came free, but Rupert Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Birmingham city defense, Denis Stockton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Dalton. The Birmingham city fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Dalton should have stopped the shot. Rupert Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devon Clapham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Denis Stockton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerebrus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Stockton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddy Dalton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cerebrus FC's Rupert Mortimer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Cerebrus FC from getting a goal against them. Austin Cooke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rupert Mortimer made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, James Calder notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Birmingham city's Eddy Dalton. Eddy Dalton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The wind increased when Devon Clapham made the kick off in the second half. Cerebrus FC's Rupert Mortimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devon Clapham in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes Birmingham city got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Oatway. In the 59th minute of the match Conal Groom sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rupert Mortimer skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Denis Stockton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eddy Dalton. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. When Ashley Aspinall fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birmingham city's protests and gave Ashley Aspinall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, one of Birmingham city:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Birmingham city. The referee gave Cerebrus FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ralph Brough, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Birmingham city's Eddy Dalton. 1-4. Cerebrus FC's Rupert Mortimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Cooke in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Birmingham city's zone, Denis Stockton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Dalton came out of the goal and Denis Stockton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Cerebrus FC's James Calder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. 84 minutes into the match, Cerebrus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Cooke came free, but Rupert Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Towler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Eddy Dalton made a huge save. Rupert Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devon Clapham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. James Calder kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Austin Cooke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cerebrus FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
