In the 13th minute, Alfred Bradbury hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Horner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rupert Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Cerebrus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Shaw came free, but Rupert Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rupert Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Shaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Stockton in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Bray saved Faithless FC from getting behind. After 27 minutes, Stuart Shaw mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faithless FC and the Cerebrus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Faithless FC's Stuart Shaw got a free kick in the 28th minute. Stefan Bray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Stockton in the 29th minute of play. Rupert Mortimer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronnie Horner in the 31st minute. James Calder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Stefan Bray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Faithless FC got a freekick which was hit by Tristram Leeson. When James Calder fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerebrus FC's protests and gave James Calder a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reggie Pearson during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reggie Pearson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Stockton got free with Stefan Bray in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Faithless FC's Stefan Bray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Faithless FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Shaw in the 61st minute of play forced Cerebrus FC's goalkeeper Rupert Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trevor Tinker charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trevor Tinker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Faithless FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerebrus FC:s goal. Ralph Brough placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 70 minutes into the game, Alfred Bradbury was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faithless FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerebrus FC the free kick. Alfred Bradbury hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Eddy Towler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Stuart Shaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Mortimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Bray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Calder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Lance Hardy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cerebrus FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Trevor Tinker shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Shaw in the 92nd minute of play forced Cerebrus FC's goalkeeper Rupert Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cerebrus FC's Jason Rayner got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Cerebrus FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Faithless FC throughout the match.
