With an all-out effort, Houghton Regis City's Deon Mullan threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from CJ Dove, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Phillip Ellison could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Deon Mullan made a huge save. Deon Mullan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Ridsdale, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Deon Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Nelson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip Ellison in the 79th minute of play forced Andover United's goalkeeper Deon Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th match minute, Houghton Regis City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Beverley to maneuver through the defense.
