Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cottered's Rupert Gilchrist was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 6th minute, Paul Wardill had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Conal Haines kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Rupert Gilchrist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Cottered's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Christie came free, but Carl Blakewell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Stonehouse hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Damian Shields had several of the Player 2 FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Sacha Allott as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sacha Allott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Stonehouse in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Bart Whitmore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sacha Allott made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Damian Shields sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Shields got free with Sacha Allott in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Carl Christie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cottered's Felix Stonehouse got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes, Player 2 FC's Bart Whitmore shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carl Blakewell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Player 2 FC reached it. The supporters of Player 2 FC booed when Cottered was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk Bullard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cottered's Carl Blakewell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Rhodes in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Carl Christie succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 52nd playminute. Damian Shields received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sacha Allott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Rhodes in the 58th minute of play forced Cottered's goalkeeper Carl Blakewell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Christie might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Blakewell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Christie ran back to his position shaking his head. Damian Shields sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Shields fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Allott having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Gilchrist in the 67th minute of play forced Player 2 FC's goalkeeper Sacha Allott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Christie might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Blakewell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Christie ran back to his position shaking his head. When Felix Stonehouse fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cottered's protests and gave Felix Stonehouse a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Cottered got a freekick which was hit by Felix Stonehouse. A collision led to Cottered getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Felix Stonehouse hit a great ball. After 81 played minutes, Player 2 FC's Bart Whitmore shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carl Blakewell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Cottered's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Shields was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sacha Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Cadwallader, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Abraham Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
