Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cottered's Paul Wardill started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Craig Venables received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Carl Blakewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cottered's Paul Wardill got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Damian Shields had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Craig Venables sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Milligan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Blakewell having to interfere. Damian Shields's late challenge caught a Titans Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Shields helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Cottered was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Shields to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Damian Shields managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cottered's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Shields was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastien Tetley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Cottered was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Gilchrist to maneuver through the defense. Jim Milligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Carl Blakewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jim Milligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Wardill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Shields sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Venables to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig Venables in the 53rd minute of play forced Cottered's goalkeeper Carl Blakewell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Craig Venables shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Blakewell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Wardill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sebastien Tetley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Shields in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastien Tetley saved Titans Fc from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cottered's zone, Jim Milligan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Blakewell came out of the goal and Jim Milligan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Shields sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Shields in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastien Tetley saved Titans Fc from getting behind. After 82 minutes, Austen Creighton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Titans Fc and the Cottered players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Titans Fc getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Austen Creighton hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Craig Venables shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Blakewell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Cottered got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Gilchrist. In the 87th minute of the match, Jim Milligan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carl Blakewell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Damian Shields received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sebastien Tetley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Milligan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 95 minutes into the game, Felix Stonehouse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cottered's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Titans Fc the free kick. In the 96th minute, Felix Stonehouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Titans Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cottered.
