Andover new stadium
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dominik Harrison took the kick off in the first half of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Andover United's Dominik Harrison slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Doug Kidd. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Doug Kidd acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Syd Bond. 11 minutes into the match, Andover United's Dominik Harrison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Kidd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Perry Allanson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the SMB CITY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perry Allanson couldn't finish the play. When Warren Ellerby fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andover United's protests and gave Warren Ellerby a yellow card for diving instead. Warren Ellerby hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dominik Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Doug Kidd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Robert Beecham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see SMB CITY's Harvey Pell in action when he in the 28th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Doug Kidd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Harrison in the 31st minute of play. Terry Bastow hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Doug Kidd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Harrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Dominik Harrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Kidd having to interfere. If Zack Downes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zack Downes was the one to do the kick off. Zack Downes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deon Mullan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perry Allanson got free with Deon Mullan in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Warren Ellerby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piers Pearson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Harrison in the 64th minute of play forced SMB CITY's goalkeeper Doug Kidd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik Harrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doug Kidd having to make a save. Deon Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Downes in the 68th minute of play. Deon Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zack Downes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Andover United's Dominik Harrison in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SMB CITY's goalie prevented a goal. Sam Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Doug Kidd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andover United's Deon Mullan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zack Downes in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zack Downes in the 80th minute of play forced Andover United's goalkeeper Deon Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doug Kidd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominik Harrison's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Warren Ellerby struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Doug Kidd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andover United. Andover United's Deon Mullan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Andover United from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Harrison in the 91st minute of play forced SMB CITY's goalkeeper Doug Kidd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik Harrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Kidd having to interfere. In the 96th minute Sam Turner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doug Kidd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Andover United booed when SMB CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Bastow didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Andover United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
