Jez Hanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominik Harrison in the 6th minute of the match. Phillip Coe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Deon Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Phillip Coe in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Deon Mullan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Deon Mullan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Perryman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominik Harrison in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jez Hanson saved Northfields United from getting behind. When Dominik Harrison came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Andover United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Harrison couldn't finish the play. Warren Ellerby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Northfields United's Jez Hanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Harrison in the 42nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Warren Ellerby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andover United's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Ellerby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jez Hanson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jez Hanson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Perryman made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seth Steele during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Andover United booed when Northfields United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Steele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dominik Harrison could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jez Hanson made a huge save. Warren Ellerby charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Warren Ellerby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Northfields United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Rowett to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, one of Andover United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 88th minute, Stuart Rowett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Deon Mullan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Dominik Harrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andover United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
