With a left leg Sebastien Tetley saved Titans Fc from getting behind. Houghton Regis City's Drew Beardsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig Venables in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Liam Ridsdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastien Tetley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Houghton Regis City's zone, Jim Milligan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Beardsley came out of the goal and Jim Milligan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Drew Beardsley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig Venables in the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Houghton Regis City got a freekick which was hit by CJ Dove. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Houghton Regis City's goalkeeper Drew Beardsley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Craig Venables cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Drew Beardsley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liam Ridsdale in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastien Tetley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Phillip Ellison's late challenge caught a Titans Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Phillip Ellison helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Phillip Ellison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastien Tetley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Ridsdale in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Craig Venables made a precise shot to the right of Drew Beardsley. Houghton Regis City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 46 minutes into the game, Houghton Regis City's Phillip Ellison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastien Tetley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Craig Venables to strike the kick off in the second half. Guy Nelson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Louie Hay's shot from long distance in the 53rd minute was not bad at all, but Houghton Regis City's Drew Beardsley knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 54th match minute, Houghton Regis City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Nelson to maneuver through the defense. When Craig Venables came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Titans Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Craig Venables couldn't finish the play. Liam Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Tetley having to interfere. Phillip Ellison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jay Blunt hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Sebastien Tetley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Ellison in the 69th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Craig Venables kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Drew Beardsley. That made the score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Titans Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Liam Ridsdale came free, but Sebastien Tetley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Craig Venables struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Drew Beardsley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Titans Fc. After a rather tough play, Houghton Regis City's Guy Nelson got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Craig Venables managed to get in a good position for a shot. Titans Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Craig Venables was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Drew Beardsley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 minutes, CJ Dove mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Houghton Regis City and the Titans Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. 94 minutes into the match, Houghton Regis City's Liam Ridsdale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastien Tetley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig Venables in the 95th minute of play forced Houghton Regis City's goalkeeper Drew Beardsley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jim Milligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Titans Fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
