Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paul Wardill kicked off to start the match. In the 15th match minute, Andover United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Auty to maneuver through the defense. Terry Krief hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Paul Wardill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dominik Harrison was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dominik Harrison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Blakewell was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Dominik Harrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Blakewell having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Danny Prior sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carl Blakewell skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot 91 in the game by Damian Shields from a close distance when the talented Deon Mullan managed to make a qualified save. Andover United's players were relieved.
