When Louis Booth fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambridge XXX's protests and gave Louis Booth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Louis Booth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vic Blackburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Stewart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vic Blackburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Stewart in the 22nd minute of the match. Roy Stewart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Roy Stewart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cambridge XXX's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Stewart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vic Blackburn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damion Hargreaves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Vic Blackburn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Paul Snowdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vic Blackburn made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Damion Hargreaves sent off a good shot on target. Roy Stewart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Paul Snowdon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Danny Pickford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Paul Snowdon made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lisy Pszczykowo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Danny Pickford hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, one of Lisy Pszczykowo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lisy Pszczykowo. The referee gave Cambridge XXX a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Scott Lawson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lisy Pszczykowo's Vic Blackburn. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Stewart in the 82nd minute of play forced Lisy Pszczykowo's goalkeeper Vic Blackburn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Lisy Pszczykowo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Pickford to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Damion Hargreaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vic Blackburn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Lisy Pszczykowo's goal looked a bit too open when Damion Hargreaves came free, but Vic Blackburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisy Pszczykowo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damion Hargreaves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
