Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kasey Nicholls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Sparkes in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Kev Cotton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pondersbridge FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hadleigh FC the free kick. Kasey Nicholls showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Sparkes, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Simon Cooke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pondersbridge FC's Kasey Nicholls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Sparkes in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricky Sparkes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kasey Nicholls prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricky Sparkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricky Sparkes in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kasey Nicholls saved Pondersbridge FC from getting behind. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper Kasey Nicholls, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute of the match, Ricky Sparkes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kasey Nicholls saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ricky Sparkes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kasey Nicholls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Pondersbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Henman to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conal Gibbons stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper Kasey Nicholls, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricky Sparkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reg Crane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Wayne Hanley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ricky Sparkes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kasey Nicholls was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pondersbridge FC's Garry Cartwright got a free kick in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the Pondersbridge FC defense, Ricky Sparkes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kasey Nicholls. The Pondersbridge FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kasey Nicholls should have stopped the shot. Ronny Panther hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Reg Crane in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wayne Hanley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hadleigh FC's Simon Cooke got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kasey Nicholls showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Sparkes, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Ricky Sparkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasey Nicholls saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Simon Cooke notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pondersbridge FC's Kasey Nicholls. Kasey Nicholls was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Hadleigh FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
