Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Richie Partridge kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Partridge in the 5th minute of play forced Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper Kasey Nicholls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richie Partridge in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kasey Nicholls prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Frimley's Brynn Key got a free kick in the 11th minute. Conal Gibbons's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrew Holloway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Tosh Fairfax elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pondersbridge FC's Garry Cartwright has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 24th minute. Richie Partridge hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes of play, Frimley's Tosh Fairfax made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kasey Nicholls was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Richie Partridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasey Nicholls saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Conal Gibbons's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrew Holloway was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Conal Gibbons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Holloway having to interfere. Chris Staple's late challenge caught a Pondersbridge FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chris Staple helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Tosh Fairfax got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tosh Fairfax sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tosh Fairfax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Kasey Nicholls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richie Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Reg Crane came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Pondersbridge FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reg Crane couldn't finish the play. Frimley played a much better game than Pondersbridge FC and deserved their victory. The Pondersbridge FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
