Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jeffrey Selby got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Ealham in the 3rd minute of play forced Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper Kasey Nicholls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Conal Gibbons got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Karl Ealham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasey Nicholls having to make a save. Jeffrey Selby took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kasey Nicholls. Kasey Nicholls dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Jeffrey Selby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Jeffrey Selby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasey Nicholls saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Totley's Jeffrey Selby got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Pondersbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Ring to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jeffrey Selby sped through Pondersbridge FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasey Nicholls. Walter Ring's late challenge caught a Totley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walter Ring helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pondersbridge FC's Walter Ring got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rich Croxford took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kasey Nicholls. Pondersbridge FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karl Ealham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 41 minutes of play, Totley's Jeffrey Selby made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kasey Nicholls was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the match, Pondersbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Ealham came free, but Kasey Nicholls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Conal Gibbons made the kick off in the second half. Jeffrey Selby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kasey Nicholls tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reg Crane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Drake having to interfere. Marc Drake came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Pondersbridge FC's Reg Crane. But to his dismay, Reg Crane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Hayden Mullan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 minutes Pondersbridge FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rich Croxford who took care of the corner kick. Marc Drake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Gibbons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes of play Pondersbridge FC's Walter Ring was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Totley booed when Pondersbridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Ring didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Pondersbridge FC's Graham Stobbs seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Graham Stobbs the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pondersbridge FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Graham Stobbs had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 76 minutes into the game, one of Pondersbridge FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Totley. Rich Croxford stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kasey Nicholls. 1-5. Karl Ealham struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Kasey Nicholls didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Totley. Jeffrey Selby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Nicholls having to interfere. Jeffrey Selby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Kasey Nicholls skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Karl Ealham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Nicholls having to interfere. Felix Vine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Jeffrey Selby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Totley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeffrey Selby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Totley fans' excitement grew in the 98th match minute when Totley's Karl Ealham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
