Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Peter Masters started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute of the match John Paul Porter shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wayne Hanley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ryan Childs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Wayne Hanley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Simon Cooke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Simon Cooke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ricky Sparkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. John Paul Porter hit a great ball. England's Clive Adamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Sparkes in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Hadleigh FC booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Endean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clive Adamson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Cooke in the 31st minute. Wayne Hanley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Masters, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ricky Sparkes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Tipton. Ryan Childs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter Masters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Wayne Hanley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, England's Clive Adamson got control of the ball when Simon Cooke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricky Sparkes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clive Adamson having to make a save. After having played for 44 minutes, Simon Cooke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hadleigh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Cooke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Cooke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Clive Adamson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Simon Cooke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clive Adamson having to make a save. Ricky Sparkes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clive Adamson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricky Sparkes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricky Sparkes was the one to do the kick off. Wayne Hanley made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ryan Childs sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Simon Cooke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Adamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Liam Skipton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wayne Hanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matty Emberson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wayne Hanley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Masters in the 63rd minute of the match. If Ryan Childs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Ricky Sparkes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clive Adamson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ryan Childs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hadleigh FC had won after a very even match.
