Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5663, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Transnistria FA's Stan Jenkinson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes Pondersbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Garry Cartwright. Transnistria FA's Thom Tandy quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rick Hislop, made in the 10th minute of the game. After 12 played minutes Pondersbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Garry Cartwright. After 14 played minutes Pondersbridge FC got a freekick which was hit by Walter Ring. Transnistria FA's Syd Paget got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Transnistria FA's Seb Crowther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conal Gibbons in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Stewart Davenport managed to get in a good position for a shot. Transnistria FA's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Davenport was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kasey Nicholls breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Transnistria FA's Syd Paget got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Stewart Davenport recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kasey Nicholls. Stewart Davenport showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Transnistria FA's Syd Paget got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 40 minutes of play, Transnistria FA's Stewart Davenport made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kasey Nicholls was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Stan Jenkinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conal Gibbons stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lewis Rotherfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Stewart Davenport got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stan Jenkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Lewis Rotherfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Syd Paget came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Transnistria FA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Syd Paget couldn't finish the play. Kasey Nicholls showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Davenport, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Stan Jenkinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Atherton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Garry Cartwright was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Pondersbridge FC's Garry Cartwright got a free kick in the 91st minute. Kasey Nicholls made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Jenkinson in the 95th minute of play. Derek Oakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Nicholls having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Transnistria FA fully deserved thier win.
