Paddy Furlong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacob Gibson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Godsall, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Dunston's Andrew Nottingham got a free kick in the 39th minute. Saint Denis FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Damian Godsall scored to the left of an out of position Jacob Gibson, making the score, 2-0.

The wind increased when Mick Garnett made the kick off in the second half. Quentin Crtichell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Gibson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Saint Denis FC's Paddy Furlong got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dave Tompkins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 81 minutes into the match, Damian Godsall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacob Gibson. Saint Denis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Godsall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The supporters of Saint Denis FC booed when Dunston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Nottingham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes of play, Saint Denis FC's Tris Featherson made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Tompkins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andy Hughes-Guy's late challenge caught a Saint Denis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Hughes-Guy helped the player get up and apologised. Andy Hughes-Guy kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. During the 91st minute of the match Paddy Furlong completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paddy Furlong a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
