Den Horseman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mick Garnett's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Tris Featherson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Tris Featherson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Den Horseman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a left leg Den Horseman saved Shadow Blasters from getting behind. If Mick Garnett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glenn Kitchen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Gibson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Saint Denis FC's Tris Featherson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Saint Denis FC booed when Shadow Blasters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Story-Moore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Den Horseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mick Garnett in the 79th minute of the match. The referee gave Saint Denis FC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Junior Cryan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shadow Blasters's Den Horseman. 4-1. After 95 played minutes Saint Denis FC got a freekick which was hit by Tris Featherson. 97 minutes into the match, Shadow Blasters's Jake Breckin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacob Gibson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Tris Featherson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Denis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tris Featherson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Den Horseman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saint Denis FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
