Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Seb Martin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes Phoenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Keiran Ashton. When Keiran Ashton came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Phoenix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keiran Ashton couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix FC's zone, Seb Martin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew Buckley came out of the goal and Seb Martin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keiran Ashton did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ash Beswetherick 20 minutes into the match. Ash Beswetherick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keiran Ashton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keiran Ashton struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ash Beswetherick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix FC. 31 minutes into the match, Leiston's goal looked a bit too open when Keiran Ashton came free, but Ash Beswetherick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jamal Crouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keiran Ashton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ash Beswetherick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jamal Crouchs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Ash Beswetherick to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eddie McAleer charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddie McAleer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eddie McAleer kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Joel Helks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Phoenix FC's Eddie McAleer got a free kick in the 46th minute. Matthew Buckley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seb Martin went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keiran Ashton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Helks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Matthew Buckley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Phoenix FC's goalkeeper Matthew Buckley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Seb Martin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jamal Crouch in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ash Beswetherick saved Leiston from getting behind. Blair Wadham hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jamal Crouch in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ash Beswetherick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Phoenix FC booed when Leiston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seb Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keiran Ashton struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ash Beswetherick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix FC. In the 91stth minute of the game Seb Martin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix FC's Matthew Buckley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Leiston's goal looked a bit too open when Keiran Ashton came free, but Ash Beswetherick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
