The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denzil Linford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 85th minute of the match Bob Warnett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthew Buckley skillfully saved the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Eddie McAleer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phoenix FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bedford City the free kick. A collision led to Phoenix FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eddie McAleer hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Denzil Linford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Matthew Buckley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bedford City had won after a very even match.
