Tipton's Travis Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathanial Devaney in the 6th minute of play. Lennie Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jonathan Vaughan sped through Tipton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Travis Barker. Lennie Oliver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitch Sherman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Rex Lowe hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tipton's Ben Roberts got a free kick in the 25th minute. Polzeath City's Jonathan Vaughan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jonathan Vaughan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Hazell in the 37th minute of play forced Polzeath City's goalkeeper Mitch Sherman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Travis Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Vaughan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Lennie Oliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tipton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennie Oliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phil Hazell to strike the kick off in the second half. Mitch Sherman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Hazell, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Nathanial Devaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nathanial Devaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Travis Barker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mitch Sherman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Hazell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Vaughan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tipton getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lance Hodges hit a great ball. Jonathan Vaughans short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Travis Barker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Phil Hazell came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tipton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Hazell couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennie Oliver in the 93rd minute of play forced Polzeath City's goalkeeper Mitch Sherman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nathanial Devaney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Travis Barker was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Jonathan Vaughan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 98th playminute. The Polzeath City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
