After 5 played minutes Woodley United got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Colt. If Lance Townsend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbie Langsford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stew Blake having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Fisher during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Royal Brigade booed when Woodley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Fisher didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Robbie Langsford notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Royal Brigade's Stew Blake. Stew Blake was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rob Darko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Stew Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Sheene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Townsend in the 23rd minute of play. Woodley United's Rob Darko got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lance Townsend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Marcus Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fraser Almond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Sheene having to interfere. If Rob Darko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Sheene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Townsend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Robbie Langsford made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, FC Royal Brigade's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Langsford came free, but Stew Blake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Royal Brigade's Stew Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbie Langsford in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Robbie Langsford fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Stew Blake, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Woodley United's zone, Charlie Whitman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Sheene came out of the goal and Charlie Whitman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddie Fisher kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Lance Townsend struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Marcus Sheene didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Royal Brigade. Charlie Whitman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Sheene having to interfere. A collision led to Woodley United getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sammy Colt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Woodley United's zone, Charlie Whitman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Sheene came out of the goal and Charlie Whitman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robbie Langsford blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stew Blake having to make a save. Fraser Almond charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fraser Almond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
