After a rather tough play, LeaveMyArsealona's Damion Lucas got a free kick in the 16th minute. Don Hitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Foley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Neil Young had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Long Hanborough AFC booed when LeaveMyArsealona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Carr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Don Hitchen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kev Foley's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Kev Foley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neil Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Don Hitchen made a huge save. Lenny Palmer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a little luck, LeaveMyArsealona's Don Hitchen got control of the ball when Neil Young tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neil Young fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Hitchen having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaz Coulshaw was the one to do the kick off. Lawrence Moss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaz Coulshaw in the 92nd minute of the match. Neil Young sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Long Hanborough AFC were the better team. Long Hanborough AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
