In the 43rd minute of the match Louis Basterfield sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Don Hitchen skillfully saved the ball. Don Hitchen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Bzeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Neil Bzeu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Don Hitchen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banbury United.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damion Lucas to make the kick off. Hayden Falkingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Hitchen having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Neil Bzeu made a precise shot to the right of Don Hitchen. LeaveMyArsealona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Byron Afful in the 83rd minute of play forced LeaveMyArsealona's goalkeeper Don Hitchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Byron Afful took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Don Hitchen. Don Hitchen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 90th minute, Byron Afful left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banbury United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Don Hitchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil Bzeu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Banbury United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
