When LeaveMyArsealona's Gaz Coulshaw in 12 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Marcus Sheene guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 15 minutes into the game, Eddie Fisher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LeaveMyArsealona the free kick. In the 15th minute, Eddie Fisher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blair Cusack kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damion Lucas got free with Marcus Sheene in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaz Coulshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Sheene having to interfere. If Robbie Langsford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Gaz Coulshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. LeaveMyArsealona's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaz Coulshaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Sheene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damion Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Sheene. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damion Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of LeaveMyArsealona booed when Woodley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Fisher didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaz Coulshaw in the 43rd minute of play forced Woodley United's goalkeeper Marcus Sheene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Langsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don Hitchen came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Woodley United's Rob Darko. But to his dismay, Rob Darko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaz Coulshaw stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcus Sheene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaz Coulshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Damion Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LeaveMyArsealona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damion Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LeaveMyArsealona's Gaz Coulshaw got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Woodley United's Darius Hales got a free kick in the 59th minute. LeaveMyArsealona's Gaz Coulshaw got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rob Darko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Don Hitchen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 65 minutes into the game, Frank Carr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LeaveMyArsealona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodley United the free kick. After 65 played minutes LeaveMyArsealona got a freekick which was hit by Frank Carr. In the 69th minute Robbie Langsford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Hitchen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sammy Colt hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Stephen Langley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Sheene. Woodley United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcus Sheene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damion Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Damion Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes, LeaveMyArsealona's Dom Lambley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcus Sheene came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LeaveMyArsealona reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Woodley United's zone, Gaz Coulshaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Sheene came out of the goal and Gaz Coulshaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
