Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Calvin Lister made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ed Dunlop during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Ed Dunlop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mickey Spencer, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 10th minute, Long Hanborough AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Calvin Lister fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ashley Hickson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Lawrence Moss made a huge save. Ashley Hickson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lawrence Moss. Lawrence Moss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 19th minute Calvin Lister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrence Moss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Long Hanborough AFC's goalkeeper Lawrence Moss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashley Hickson. Gerry Trunks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Long Hanborough AFC's Neil Young nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrie Cullen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Gerry Trunks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Ashley Hickson could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Lawrence Moss however easily saved by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Long Hanborough AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Barone came free, but Lawrence Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calvin Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Cheadle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Young came free, but Barrie Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Calvin Lister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheadle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Lister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, one of Cheadle FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neil Young made a kick off. When Rueben East fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheadle FC's protests and gave Rueben East a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Cheadle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben East to maneuver through the defense. Gerry Trunks kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Long Hanborough AFC defense, Calvin Lister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lawrence Moss. The Long Hanborough AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lawrence Moss should have stopped the shot. Ashley Hickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lawrence Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Long Hanborough AFC defense, Calvin Lister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lawrence Moss. The Long Hanborough AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lawrence Moss should have stopped the shot. Zak Allott hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Neil Young recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calvin Lister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Moss having to interfere. A collision led to Long Hanborough AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Carlton Emmerson hit a great ball. Ashley Hickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Moss having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Carlton Emmerson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Long Hanborough AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheadle FC the free kick. Carlton Emmerson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Ashley Hickson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrence Moss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neil Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barrie Cullen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Long Hanborough AFC's Carlton Emmerson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Cheadle FC's goalkeeper Barrie Cullen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neil Young. A hard shot 92 in the game by Neil Young from a close distance when the talented Barrie Cullen managed to make a qualified save. Cheadle FC's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cheadle FC had won after a very even match.
