An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Millman in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Royal Brigade's goalkeeper Stew Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dom Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Millman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charlie Whitman's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Kevin Higson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stew Blake read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Calum Mudd kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Kevin Higson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Stew Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jools Street got free with Stew Blake in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Millman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lance Townsend went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jools Street managed to get in a good position for a shot. FKS Stal Mielec's supporters rose to their feet, but Jools Street was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stew Blake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd match minute, FC Royal Brigade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nath Merrill to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, FC Royal Brigade's Charlie Whitman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Millman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Michael Millman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Townsend in the 31st minute of the match. If Charlie Whitman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jools Street recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Higson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jools Street sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kevin Higson to strike the kick off in the second half. Stew Blake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Cahill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jools Street had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FKS Stal Mielec's zone, Gareth Ashton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Millman came out of the goal and Gareth Ashton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, FKS Stal Mielec's goalkeeper Michael Millman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charlie Whitman. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Royal Brigade walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
