Storm FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirk Weedon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vern Downs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bolton City's zone, Kieran Hurst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vern Downs came out of the goal and Kieran Hurst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 minutes, Charles Renwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolton City and the Storm FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Bolton City got a freekick which was hit by Charles Renwick. Kieran Hurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Downs having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Charles Renwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vern Downs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Callum Ring's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Callum Ring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Downs having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Bolton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Platt to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Kieran Hurst put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vern Downs. Kieran Hurst's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vern Downs firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 27th match minute, Bolton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Platt to maneuver through the defense. Storm FC's Callum Ring got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Callum Ring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vern Downs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Cody Courtney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rick Featherson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The wind increased when Ashley Howlett made the kick off in the second half. Vern Downs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Callum Ring in the 54th minute of play. Ashley Howlett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rick Featherson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kieran Hurst struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Vern Downs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Storm FC. Callum Ring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Callum Ring succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. A collision led to Storm FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gordon Crosby hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the game, Storm FC's Callum Ring nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vern Downs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Kieran Hurst scored 4-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vern Downs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Howlett in the 84th minute of play forced Storm FC's goalkeeper Rick Featherson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
