Simon Odell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Sawyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 3rd match minute, Wem AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence McAleer to maneuver through the defense. Danny Bradbury kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Wem AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Sawyer came free, but Simon Odell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Wem AFC's Zane Tomkin tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Wem AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Eadan came free, but Simon Odell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Odell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Sawyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Patrick Goldthorpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Garry Mayfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Odell was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Robin Eadan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Odell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harry Chadwick made a kick off. A collision led to Wem AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Patrick Goldthorpe hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Vernon Barltrop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Odell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Eadan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute Laurence McAleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ashley Harding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kristian Sawyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristian Sawyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Goldthorpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ashley Harding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patrick Goldthorpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hale getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Des Bayford hit a great ball. Wem AFC's Zane Tomkin got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon Odell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Eadan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
