In the 79th minute Victor Paget shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Selby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Victor Paget had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anthony Selby. Erith's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Paget was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 87 minutes, Joshua Hammond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Hammond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Rupert Atkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Erith's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Paget came free, but Anthony Selby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erith's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because WE UNITED had won, even though Erith had held more of the ball.
