The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Sid Chamberlain got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isaac Jeffrey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rob Ronson couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Sutton on Sea City's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Cowling came free, but Niall Taggart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niall Taggart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Ronson in the 11th minute of play. Ronnie Phippard struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Isaac Jeffrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutton on Sea City. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Sid Chamberlain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Jeffrey came out of the goal and Sid Chamberlain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sutton on Sea City's Niall Taggart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Cowling in the 17th minute of play. Isaac Jeffrey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Sugden, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Arsenal FC's Isaac Jeffrey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal FC from getting a goal against them. In the 38th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Hooker to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Isaac Jeffrey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronnie Phippard might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Jeffrey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronnie Phippard ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rob Ronson to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Franz Cowling. A collision led to Sutton on Sea City getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sid Chamberlain hit a great ball. Isaac Jeffrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnie Phippard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sutton on Sea City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
