Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Danny Sugden started the match with the kick off. Sid Chamberlain hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute, Victor Paget got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5th minute, Glyn Harrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WE UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Sugden in the 10th minute of play forced WE UNITED's goalkeeper Oliver Marler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rupert Atkins kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ronnie Phippard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Glyn Harrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niall Taggart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reggie Platt struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Oliver Marler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutton on Sea City. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Sugden in the 24th minute of play forced WE UNITED's goalkeeper Oliver Marler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronnie Phippard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oliver Marler having to make a save. If Danny Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sutton on Sea City's Glenn Brooke managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Malcolm Duggan in the 32 minute of the game. Ronnie Phippards short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Oliver Marler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35 minutes, Kyle Walsh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WE UNITED and the Sutton on Sea City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sutton on Sea City booed when WE UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Walsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Sutton on Sea City got a freekick which was hit by Sid Chamberlain. With a little luck, WE UNITED's Oliver Marler got control of the ball when Ronnie Phippard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronnie Phippard came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oliver Marler could save by the left post. Oliver Marler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutton on Sea City. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Glyn Harrison managed to get in a good position for a shot. WE UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Glyn Harrison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niall Taggart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. WE UNITED's Oliver Marler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Sugden in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Reggie Platt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton on Sea City's supporters rose to their feet, but Reggie Platt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Marler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glyn Harrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Niall Taggart successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 87 played minutes WE UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Glyn Harrison. In the 89th minute Danny Sugden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ronnie Phippard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton on Sea City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronnie Phippard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Marler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronnie Phippard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Oliver Marler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sutton on Sea City manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing WE UNITED to win.
