Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dean Coburn took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Sutton on Sea City's Danny Sugden in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. PugPugPug CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Coburn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niall Taggart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute Danny Sugden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Newton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Danny Sugden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, PugPugPug CF's Eddy Newton got control of the ball when Ronnie Phippard tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Norman Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PugPugPug CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Henry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Sid Chamberlain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddy Newton. PugPugPug CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sid Chamberlain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 30thth minute of the game Danny Sugden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PugPugPug CF's Eddy Newton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronnie Phippard placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danny Sugden was the one to do the kick off. Eddy Newton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronnie Phippard in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Danny Sugden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Newton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind PugPugPug CF's goalkeeper Eddy Newton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronnie Phippard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Newton having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the PugPugPug CF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sutton on Sea City.
