Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dean Coburn took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Joshua Hammond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Newton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Allan Barton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Newton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Hammond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Hammond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Barton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Erith getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Frazer Byrom hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Jack Cummings hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 played minutes PugPugPug CF got a freekick which was hit by Norman Henry. After having played for 28 minutes, Joshua Hammond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Hammond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 minutes, Syd Rotherfield mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PugPugPug CF and the Erith players grew even worse after the yellow card. Syd Rotherfield hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Joshua Hammond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddy Newton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Joshua Hammond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Joshua Hammond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eddy Newton was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, PugPugPug CF's Syd Rotherfield got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in PugPugPug CF's zone, Joshua Hammond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Newton came out of the goal and Joshua Hammond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Allan Barton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eddy Newton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Barton took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddy Newton. Eddy Newton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to PugPugPug CF getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Dean Coburn hit a great ball. A hard shot 66 in the game by Joshua Hammond from a close distance when the talented Eddy Newton managed to make a qualified save. PugPugPug CF's players were relieved. In the 68th minute, Terry Gettins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Hammond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Newton having to interfere. With his leg Eddy Newton managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Erith's Joshua Hammond fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th minute, Erith's Allan Barton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eddy Newton. Eddy Newton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Allan Barton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eddy Newton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joshua Hammond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Newton having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Joshua Hammond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The PugPugPug CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Erith were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
