Spectators: 7607 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 150) Denny Beerman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Harvey Laverack charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Laverack the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harvey Laverack kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of Pizzle Youth Team booed when Cirencester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kev Bamford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ed Hough hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Lucas Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Palmer in the 16th minute of play. Francis Delaney charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francis Delaney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Pizzle Youth Team got a freekick which was hit by Francis Delaney. After recieving a nice pass, Cirencester's Martyn Fleetwood tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lucas Fox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Palmer in the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Cirencester's Denny Beerman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dom Dawes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Pizzle Youth Team booed when Cirencester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garth Newby didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Huey Sawyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pizzle Youth Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Huey Sawyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Fox breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute of the match Karl Coulson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dom Dawes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Brian Shepherd came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cirencester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Shepherd couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes, Cirencester's Karl Coulson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dom Dawes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cirencester reached it. If Brian Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marty Palmer to make the kick off. Brian Shepherd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dom Dawes made a huge save. Brian Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dom Dawes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Pizzle Youth Team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brian Shepherd fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 60 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Beerman came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Shipton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dom Dawes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pizzle Youth Team's Seth Green got a free kick in the 74th minute. Dom Dawes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Martyn Fleetwood. In the 77th minute, Harvey Laverack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matt Walters struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Lucas Fox didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pizzle Youth Team. Cirencester's Lucas Fox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Palmer in the 91st minute of play. Brian Shepherd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cirencester played a much better game than Pizzle Youth Team and deserved their victory. The Pizzle Youth Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
