Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Greg Medley got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th match minute, Waterloo and South Bank AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nath Gill to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Waterloo and South Bank AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Wesley Ashton hit a great ball. Bollington City's Johnathan Marsden got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jerome Martin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bollington City's Martyn Walsh got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Broadhead in the 14th minute of play forced Bollington City's goalkeeper Ian Everard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greg Medley struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jerome Martin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bollington City. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo and South Bank AFC's zone, Greg Medley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Martin came out of the goal and Greg Medley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerome Martin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Medley, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jerome Martin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After some careless play in the Waterloo and South Bank AFC defense, Johnathan Marsden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerome Martin. The Waterloo and South Bank AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerome Martin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven McCormick in the 44th minute of play forced Bollington City's goalkeeper Ian Everard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven McCormick made a kick off. Steven McCormick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Everard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Johnathan Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Martin having to interfere. If Greg Medley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Marsden in the 87th minute of play forced Waterloo and South Bank AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Martin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Waterloo and South Bank AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Medley came free, but Jerome Martin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Johnathan Marsden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bollington City had played much better football throughout.
