Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rhys Deeney took the kick off in the first half of the match. Martyn Fleetwood was slow to take the kick. During this time Cirencester's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Martyn Fleetwood got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kirk Cambridge quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kirk Cambridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Beerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Kirk Cambridge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denny Beerman went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kirk Cambridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Beerman in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Nunthorpe AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gerry Whittington hit a great ball. Kirk Cambridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Beerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Kirk Cambridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kev Bamford, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Nunthorpe AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Newby came free, but Kirk Cambridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denny Beerman to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Kirk Cambridge managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Cirencester's Brian Shepherd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nunthorpe AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Kev Bamford scored to the left of an out of position Kirk Cambridge, making the score, 0-3. Gerry Whittington's late challenge caught a Cirencester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerry Whittington helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Nunthorpe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Whittington. If Brian Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhys Deeney kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Kirk Cambridge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brian Shepherd in the 74th minute. Brian Shepherd was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kirk Cambridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Newby in the 77th minute of play. Kirk Cambridge made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Brian Shepherd sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cirencester booed when Nunthorpe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerry Whittington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Adams hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Denny Beerman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cirencester fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After some careless play in the Nunthorpe AFC defense, Brian Shepherd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kirk Cambridge. The Nunthorpe AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kirk Cambridge should have stopped the shot. Cirencester's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
