Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Denny Beerman kicked off to start the match. Petts Wood United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cirencester the free kick. Louis Sercombe hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Denny Beerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Petts Wood United's Louis Sercombe in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cirencester's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kev Bamford during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kev Bamford hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Petts Wood United getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Kev Prutton hit a great ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Denny Beerman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirencester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denny Beerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Denny Beerman put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sidney Smith.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jake Spink was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Brian Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirencester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Shepherd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Denny Beerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Smith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Petts Wood United's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Shepherd came free, but Sidney Smith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Fox made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Louis Sercombe sent off a good shot on target. If Kev Prutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denny Beerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Smith having to interfere. Sidney Smith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Smith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sidney Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Beerman in the 78th minute of play. Louis Sercombe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Fox having to interfere. In the 90th minute Jake Spink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Louis Sercombe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
