In the 37th minute Johnathan Marsden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Fox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Johnathan Marsden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denny Beerman to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnathan Marsden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Lucas Fox when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bollington City's Ian Everard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Shepherd in the 53rd minute of play. Brian Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ian Everard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Bollington City's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Shepherd came free, but Ian Everard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes Cirencester got a freekick which was hit by Marty Shipton. When Johnathan Marsden came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Bollington City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathan Marsden couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Bollington City's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Beerman came free, but Ian Everard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Edworthy kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cirencester's Lucas Fox proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Cirencester from getting a goal against them. Todd Hislop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johnathan Marsden got free with Lucas Fox in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cirencester had won after a very even match.
