Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jake Spink got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Ed Hough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Lennie Beaver sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pizzle Youth Team's Dom Dawes didn't even have to move. When Charlie Robson fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pizzle Youth Team's protests and gave Charlie Robson a yellow card for diving instead. Dom Dawes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Spink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pizzle Youth Team's Seth Green got a free kick in the 6th minute. Dom Dawes came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Petts Wood United's Louis Sercombe. But to his dismay, Louis Sercombe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dom Dawes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jake Spink in the 14th minute of the match. Pizzle Youth Team's Dom Dawes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Spink in the 16th minute of play. Dom Dawes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Spink in the 18th minute of play. Huey Sawyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sidney Smith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Palmer in the 23rd minute of play. If Jake Spink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dom Dawes came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Petts Wood United's Louis Sercombe. But to his dismay, Louis Sercombe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Anthony Duffy hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Pizzle Youth Team got a penalty, and Matt Walters placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Dom Dawes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Spink in the 43rd minute of play. If Pedro Sissons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pizzle Youth Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Petts Wood United were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marty Palmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petts Wood United's Louis Sercombe was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Marty Palmer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidney Smith. Petts Wood United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marty Palmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The supporters of Pizzle Youth Team booed when Petts Wood United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Spink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huey Sawyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Smith having to interfere. Marty Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dom Dawes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louis Sercombe in the 80th minute. After 80 played minutes Pizzle Youth Team got a freekick which was hit by Francis Delaney. Huey Sawyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Smith having to interfere. Jake Spink received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dom Dawes came out and tried to block the shot, but Jake Spink slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jake Spink in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dom Dawes saved Pizzle Youth Team from getting behind. Dom Dawes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jake Spink in the 96th minute of the match. The Petts Wood United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Petts Wood United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
