Andre Baldwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russ Maylett in the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Bloom in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Baldwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bradley Starr hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Bloom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester Athletic's zone, Ian Bloom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Baldwin came out of the goal and Ian Bloom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manchester Athletic's Andre Baldwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Bloom in the 57th minute of play. Sly Thornton scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Billie Dunn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rupert Lennon charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Rupert Lennon hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Andre Baldwin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ian Bloom might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andre Baldwin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Bloom ran back to his position shaking his head. Billie Dunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Tompkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Johnny Tompkins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billie Dunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Manchester Athletic's Andre Baldwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Maylett in the 84th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Bloom in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Baldwin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 played minutes Manchester Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Edward Eglington. Andre Baldwin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Bloom, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
