Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jerry Owen got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Jerry Owen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Constantine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jamie Clemence managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exeter's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Clemence was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leigh Constantine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Rueben Postolan made a precise shot to the right of Leigh Constantine. Bradford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jerry Owen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leigh Constantine came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Exeter's Jamie Clemence. But to his dismay, Jamie Clemence quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jerry Owen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exeter's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Owen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leigh Constantine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bradford AFC's Leigh Constantine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Clemence in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Brendon Hepburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buster Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Bradford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Owen came free, but Leigh Constantine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leigh Constantine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Illingworth in the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Jamie Clemence notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bradford AFC's Leigh Constantine. Leigh Constantine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bradford AFC's goalkeeper Leigh Constantine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leigh Constantine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Clemence in the 42nd minute of play. Jamie Clemence took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leigh Constantine. Leigh Constantine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After the first half Exeter were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brendon Hepburn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jamie Clemence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradford AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Exeter the free kick. After 64 played minutes Bradford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Green. When Rueben Postolan fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Exeter's protests and gave Rueben Postolan a yellow card for diving instead. Rueben Postolan kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Jamie Clemence's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leigh Constantine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Buster Jump showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 78 played minutes, Exeter's Sidney Illingworth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leigh Constantine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Exeter reached it. If Brendon Hepburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute of the match, Jerry Owen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leigh Constantine saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Exeter left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bradford AFC.
