To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Iain Bowe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nathan Rain was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Henry Fenton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Micheal Windsor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ben Steel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Sheffield's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Fenton came free, but Micheal Windsor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Real Madrid C.F getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ronny Turnbull hit a great ball. If Joey Tucker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sheffield's Christopher Radcliffe got a free kick in the 41st minute. A collision led to Sheffield getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Joey Tucker hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Iain Bowe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Real Madrid C.F's Nathan Rain. Nathan Rain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Real Madrid C.F players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sheffield were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Joey Tucker made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Real Madrid C.F was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Steel to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Harvey Nailor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid C.F's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harvey Nailor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harvey Nailor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Windsor having to interfere. Micheal Windsor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harvey Nailor's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ronny Turnbull hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With his leg Nathan Rain managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Sheffield's Iain Bowe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Iain Bowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan Rain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Tucker in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Real Madrid C.F booed when Sheffield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Butler didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Harvey Nailor came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Real Madrid C.F fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harvey Nailor couldn't finish the play. Henry Fenton took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Micheal Windsor. Micheal Windsor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Real Madrid C.F supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sheffield's performance. The match ended with a win for Sheffield.
